About me
Mom. Wife. Daughter. Friend. These are the titles that tend to define me. They are titles that imply relationship. A piece of who I am in relationship to someone else. But then, there are other parts of my being that I believe are more than that. I believe we were all created for more. More than the titles we are given and more than just the way we view ourselves through the eyes of those we are in relationship with. Because, while these titles are incredibly meaningful to me, they are not ALL of me.
I am a believer in a beautiful Creator God who made me to be an image bearer of Him. He created, co-creators! I am a creator of sorts. Where I feel the most drawn to create is through writing. I am a writer. A lover of words. A poet at times and a written processor. Writing is a means to disentangle the perplexities of this world. To draw meaning from the things that bring me into a state of wonder and sometimes wandering. I invite you to join me in this journey of wondering and wandering through words. Welcome aboard!
Before you move on, I thought it may be helpful to share more about who I am in those titles I listed above. I listed mom first because it is the name I am referred to more than any other. Well, my 3 young boys tend to call me Mommy or Momma. I am holding tightly to these days. Sullivan (4), Dawson (3) and Rowan (1) are my joy. They are the bright eyes and big smiles that draw me closer to Jesus when I feel weary. Their innocence and repetitious nature of living are pure and delightful.
I am also a wife to my dear husband, Michael. He is the one who knows what I need when I don’t even know what I need. He jumps in to fill the gaps of our family and be a strength when I am weak, a wisdom to my folly, and a peace in the middle of my raging storms.
Finally, I am a daughter, sister and friend. These are the spaces where I draw from a community of people that encourage me and spur me on in all things. These are the people that I laugh with, cry with, and lean on when I need help carrying my burdens. They are a reminder to me of the life of Jesus that is in all of us. Living out His love and kindness through the Holy Spirit who dwells within us.

You’re invited…
Writing isn’t just about words on a page for people to read. It is an invitation. A dialogue. A way to connect to one another through the written word. I would love to do that with YOU!
